The Flash Season 2: 8 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Rupture'

8. The Voice Explanation

The Flash Rupture
The CW

One of the major downs of last week’s episode was seeing Zoom talking to Caitlin in his eerie Tony Todd voice, only to then whizz off to do a change of clothing and then be talking like plain ol’ Hunter Zolomon. It was just off in so many ways, particularly in how Hunter’s voice pattern changed when under the Zoom moniker.

So, it was nice to get some semblance of an explanation to this problem in Rupture, even if it was maybe a paper thin explanation at best.

In case we hadn’t guessed, the reason that Zolomon uses the twisted, maniacal voice when as Zoom is merely just an act of intimidation.

Logically, it’s a whole load of effort to produce the sort of rolling, tormented, staggered dialogue that Zoom uses, but hey, at least it’s some sort of explanation.
