The Flash Season 2: 9 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Man Who Saved Central City'

5. What Happened With Cisco?

The Flash Season 2
The CW

Atom-Smasher was a pretty good villain for the season premiere, especially in terms of highlighting just how much Barry needs a team around him, and the effects work for him sizing up looked ok as well, given the show doesn't have a super budget.

There was one weird moment with him though, when confronted by Cisco, Joe, and the big gun they now have for dealing with metahumans (which, er, didn't exactly work too well). Cisco zones out for a few seconds, and there's a scene of him seeing Atom-Smasher in a chamber surrounded by blue lightning.

What exactly happened with that scene there? From the presence of the blue bolts, can we assume it had something to do with Zoom? And was this the first step of Cisco becoming his superhero alter-ego, Vibe, and the vision took place in another dimension?

Cisco is one of the best - and funniest - parts of the show, and having him as a hero will hopefully just add to that (although I'd quite happily have just 40-minutes of him and Joe doing police work).
