The Flash Season 2: 9 Things You Need To Know About Killer Frost

3. There Have Been Many Different Versions Of The Character

As with so many comic book characters, Killer Frost is very much a legacy villain, with her title having been passed down by multiple women, all with similar powers. Thanks to The Flash, most people are only familiar with Caitlin Snow, but she is only the most recent version of the character. Initially there was the aptly-named Crystal Frost, a spurned lover who used her powers to hurt men and battle Firestorm. Then, in modern times, somewhat conflicting with Caitlin is Loren Fontier, who also appears in the New 52. How she fits in now is unclear but she has the same trademark cold skin and anger towards Firestorm that always accompanies the characters. Most prominently, however, is the second Killer Frost, Dr. Louise Lincoln. Serving as the villainess from the 80s all the way up until the New 52 reboot, she is really the definitive Killer Frost. Having access to all of these different personalities and backstories should undoubtably help shape the Killer Frost on The Flash, allowing the writers to pick and choose the best parts from each one and give us one incredible character.
