The Flash Season 3: 8 Ways Flashpoint Will Change The Show

1. Barry Starts To Forget His Old Life

The Flash Flashpoint Changes
The CW

Now that Barry has saved his mother, he's got everything he wanted: the chance to grow up with both of his parents alive and well.

In fact, while Barry is aware that he's time-travelled and altered reality, he'll gradually become more and more attached to his new life. Grant Gustin has described it as being like the moment in Back to the Future when Marty's hand starts disappearing, as Barry's old memories begin to be replaced by the new ones.

It poses an interesting challenge to the hero, one that will test him on an incredibly emotional level, as he's forced to choose between the 'right' timeline, and the one he currently finds himself living in (and enjoying). Obviously, because he's the Flash it'll be the former, but seeing that play out - and how Gustin rises to it - should make for compelling viewing.
