The Flash Season 3 Finale: 8 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Finish Line'

1. Will We Finally Get Fun Barry Back?

Something fans have complained about in season three is that Barry Allen has become far too down-hearted and glum as a character and not the optimistic hero we loved back in season one. Well, let's hope that The Flash's writers have been listening and plan to do something about this in season four.

Barry's trip to the Speed Force could provide the perfect explanation for his personality change. When Wally West returned from the Speed Force in the comics, he became a much more powerful speedster because of it. Now at one with the Speed Force, he is more at peace as a person as he more fully understands his place in the universe.

For Barry, a stint in Speed Force Heaven - probably spending time with his long-lost parents - might alleviate his pain and regrets somewhat and allow him to be reborn as the fun, confident hero that fans have loved for decades in the comics. Seeing as we are now four years into the show, it is surely about time to bring Barry more in line with the classic version of the character. In other words, to truly make him the Flash.
