2. Not What It Seems

Ever since the title of this episode was revealed, fans were worried about what 'The Death Of Vibe' actually meant. After all, we knew that Cicada would be hunting metahumans and, well, Cisco Ramon is a metahuman. What we didn't take into account was that the episode was not titled 'The Death of Cisco'.

While the writers did a great job of keeping us on edge throughout as Cicada searched for Vibe, Cisco made it out of the episode alive. His superheroic alter-ego, however, did not. Thanks to a neat little trick by Nora, Cisco was breached to another dimension, leaving Cicada to assume that he was killed in the previous explosion. Just like that, the monstrous metahuman-hunter ticked Vibe off his hit list.

This was a wise move by the writers because, right now, Cicada needed a victory to prove himself as a dominant force. However, Team Flash also needed a victory in order to assure them that they can beat this guy. So, while it appears that Cicada won this battle, the heroes were the real victors here.

Now Cisco won't have to look over his shoulder as he is no longer on the hit list. However, the apparent death of Vibe makes him a lot more powerful than he ever was. As Cicada is no longer aware of his presence, he is Team Flash's secret weapon and could strike when the villain least expects it. A thrilling possibility that the show will hopefully explore later in the season.
