The Flash Season 5 Finale: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Legacy'
1. Bad Vibes
One of the episode's few drawbacks stemmed from its treatment of Team Flash veteran Cisco Ramon.
Realising that he was tired of living a double life as both himself and Vibe, Cisco decided to tell his girlfriend Kamilla about his abilities before he subsequently took the metahuman cure to remove them - officially retiring his heroic alter-ego for good.
While his decision to do so does go hand-in-hand with his arc this season, it still didn't feel like it was developed to the extent that it should have been. If his issue with being a metahuman was down to the fact he wanted to be defined by more than just being Vibe, then why didn't he just stop being a superhero? Was it really necessary to remove his abilities altogether?
Similarly, his relationship with Kamilla was never given the screen-time that it deserved and, as a result, it didn't quite feel like the endgame-level pairings he was part of with Golden Glider and Gypsy. With that in mind, how are viewers supposed to know that he's crazy about her if they rarely get the chance to see them together? (No, constantly telling us is not good enough)
While his storyline could be down to the fact that actor Carlos Valdes may be leaving the show next season (there have been a lot of rumours suggesting that this is likely), this semi-ending was somewhat questionable and didn't quite feel like it did right by the character.
