The Flash Season 5 Finale: What Does The Ending Really Mean?
5. Ralph Dibny Is Destined For Love
During the episode's closing montage, Ralph entered his office and sunk back into his chair, potentially preparing for a return to the P.I. life. As he did so, he stared intently at a folder with the name "Dearbon" written on it. For anyone unaware, that was undoubtedly a reference to the DC Comics character Sue Dearbon - the wife of Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man.
As this little tease took place in the season finale, not to mention the fact that the shot of her surname lingered for a few seconds, this was more than just a quirky little Easter Egg for comic fans. If you cast your minds back a few weeks, you might recall that Ralph revealed that his infamous 'Book of Ralph' doesn't work on him because he isn't destined for love.
It looks like Central City's smartest private investigator isn't right all the time because, after that shot, it's pretty clear that we're going to meet the future Mrs. Dibny in Season 6.
