We already talked a little bit about how The Flash's sixth season was something of a rejuvenation for the show, and it really is true. While it has always made for an enjoyable hour of television, there was a considerable decline in quality over the past two seasons that prevented it from reaching the heights that it once did. That, however, feels like a distant memory thanks to Season 6.

There's no blame game here because, again, this is nobody's fault - just a simple fact that the season never got to fully explore the storylines it had set up.
