One of the reasons why 'Success Is Assured' worked so unexpectedly well as the finale is the abundance of compelling cliffhangers it left the viewers with. And it's those cliffhangers that ultimately make it worth coming back for another round when the seventh season gets off the ground.

Caitlin's temporary departure will no doubt wield interesting results as Frost attempts to heal herself with her mother Carla Tannhauser's help. The same could be said for Joe's return as he is once again back to assist Team Flash take down another form of evil. The real cliffhangers, however, undoubtedly revolve around Eva.

The Mirror Master has retrieved the empire that was once stolen from her, while the woman she locked away in her place - Iris West-Allen - suddenly vanished within the Mirrorverse, leaving fans beside themselves as they're forced to wait until who-knows-when for The Flash to return.

Season 6 may have deserved a better ending than the one it ultimately got, but it was a solid offering that promised us that better things lie ahead. Here's hoping that it won't be too long until we find out just what those better things look like.

Congratulations to all involved in The Flash for finally finding away to revive this amazing series. A return to form, this writer is very excited about where the story could go next.
