The Flash Season 6 Finale Review: 5 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Success Is Assured'
2. The Fight Scene
While The Flash isn't against getting a little physical from time-to-time, it wasn't exactly the Arrowverse show known for its cutting-edge fight choreography. No, that's a spot reserved for the likes of Arrow and Batwoman. However, the finale contained one of the most innovative fight scenes in recent Arrowverse history, and it would be downright rude of this writer not to heap on some well-earned praise.
I am, of course, talking about the showdown at McCulloch Tech during which Ralph, Sue, Nash, Allegra and a ton of guards battled old enemies Esperanza, Sunshine and Doctor Light. The strong camerawork highlighted each character's strengths while the entertaining split screen Zoom-like effect added an enjoyably video game feel to it, making the red-hued fight a lot more fun to watch.
A group fight was always going to be hard to stay on top of simply because of how much is going on, but this creative piece of hard-hitting art not only pulled it off, it delivered an all-out war that was both enjoyable and befitting of a finale.
