Beloved father figure to Barry Allen, Joe West left Central City a few weeks ago when Joseph Carver threatened to kill him if he didn't back off. However, following Carver's death in the finale, the Captain made a surprise return, announcing that he's officially back to assist the team in their fight against Eva McCulloch.

There's not too much to delve into here because what you see is literally what you get. Joe is such an important character so he was never going to be gone for long, and now that he's back, the writers will surely come up with a unique way for him to help Team Flash take down Eva.

Whether or not Mirror Master has created another copy of Chief Singh remains to be seen, but make no mistake about it: With Joe back, she no longer has law enforcement in her pocket.
