The Flash Season 6 (Part 2): 5 Theories On The Identity Of The New Big Bad

3. Doctor Light

Black Hole's primary assassin, Doctor Light was introduced to the show post-Crisis and quickly proved herself to be a formidable foe, killing every target her employer requested and coming very close to taking out both Iris and Killer Frost.

The second villain to use the title Doctor Light, it's important to note that this isn't the same character that surfaced in The Flash's second season. An Earth-2 doppelganger of Linda Park, that was the show's original variation of the criminal Doctor Arthur Light, while this new menace is an adaptation of the traditionally heroic Kimiyo Hoshi - who also goes by Doctor Light in the comics.

It's rather fitting that she surfaced post-Crisis considering the character was originally introduced into the comics during Crisis On Infinite Earths. Granted, she wasn't a hired assassin, but given that The Flash's writers were quick to reveal that Hoshi does exactly what she's told, you can rest assured that this narrative thread will come up again at some point throughout the season - perhaps resulting in her growing weary of following orders and ultimately deciding to become her own villain. And, given how formidable she is, that would undoubtedly mean bad news for Central City.

Then again, it could end up propelling her to follow in her comic book counterpart's footsteps and become a hero instead. In that case, it would no doubt be bad news for the villains of Central City.
