The Flash Season 6 Review: 4 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Dead Man Running'

1. The Parallels Between Barry And Ramsey

The CW

Given the Arrowverse's primary focus on the Crisis right now, it's safe to say that The Flash has a lot going on this season. With that in mind, it's rather understandable that the show has had to give its season-centric storylines a backseat in order to make room for the bigger picture. And given that the Crisis is an idea that originated on this very show, it feels like a natural move to make.

That being said, the writers deserve some major credit for managing to bring both storylines together through their respective protagonists. Ramsey Rosso may be slowly morphing into the villainous Bloodwork, but it's a transformation brought about the ominous shadow of death that is currently hanging over him - a shadow that also happens to be looming over Barry Allen due to the fact that he's destined to die in the Crisis.

The parallels in both men's stories was incredibly poignant and it managed to unify a season that may have found itself struggling to juggle two completely different narratives at once - essentially making them, for this episode at least, the one storyline. And both Grant Gustin and Sendhil Ramamurthy also deserve credit for their equally strong performances while bringing this all to life.
