The Flash Season 6 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'A Girl Named Sue'

Ups...

5. Building Black Hole

The Flash Season 6 Doctor Light Black Hole
The CW

The mysterious organization known as Black Hole continues to cast its shadow of uncertainty over the season, with their motivations and goals remaining unclear. The writers have done a great job building them up as some kind of all-powerful invisible threat operating off-the-grid, and they were again successful in doing so here.

Barry's hush-hush investigation into the apparent closed cases helped Joe figure out that somebody on the inside of CCPD could be working with them, and that smacked the often-colourful show with a gritty dose of realism because, powers or not, no metahuman can fight a threat they didn't even know existed.

Whether Black Hole is the season's Big Bad or merely a tool used by them, the anonymity and volatility of their actions continues to solidify them as a formidable threat - one that should be taken seriously by absolutely everyone.
