The Flash Season 6 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'A Girl Named Sue'

4. Introduction To Mirror Master 2.0.

The Flash Eva McCulloch Iris West-Allen
The CW

Iris' entrapment in her so-called mirror dimension gave her flashbacks to the time Barry Allen came face-to-face with the Mirror Master known as Sam Scudder. However, as she struggled to break free, she soon realized that she wasn't alone as she was confronted by Eva McCulloch - the woman thought to have died six years ago had actually been sucked into a nearby mirror following the particle accelerator explosion.

The pair's attempts to escape drove forward the emotional aspect of the episode and Eva's reluctance to fail again added a strong internal conflict to this character we had just met - setting the stage nicely for the discovery of her apparent mirror abilities which might just ensure she won't fail again.

The fact that it was the particle accelerator explosion that did it to her felt like a nice way of paying homage to the show's original pre-Crisis era that also justified both her abilities and the fact that we're only seeing her now. And Iris' references to the previous Mirror Master were a solid way of reminding viewers what the DC Comics character is capable of.

Whether Eva is a friend or foe remains to be seen, but as far as introductions go, this was a pretty great start for the woman who could end up becoming the second Mirror Master.
