The Flash Season 6 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Exorcism Of Nash Wells'
5. The Return Of Reverse-Flash
There's just something about Tom Cavanagh whenever he portrays Eobard Thawne that makes it impossible to take your eyes off him. Now, we'll talk a little bit more about his performance shortly, but the point is that Thawne might just be the greatest villain in modern TV history.
Having the Reverse-Flash back on the show - even for only an episode - lit a fire in The Flash that we don't see often enough. Suddenly, the stakes felt higher, the danger greater and the storylines more character-driven - three elements that made The Flash's debut season its best.
When Thawne is present, everything else stops, and that's the type of gravity you'd expect from the time-traveling killer. And even though he had a new purpose this time - to take over Nash's body - he still felt every bit as threatening.
Another killer hour of entertainment from the villainous speedster, it's easy to see why the show keeps going back to him.
