The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 1 Down From 'Liberation'

Ups...

7. The Truth Is FINALLY Out

Fans have understandably taken issue with the fact that Barry hadn't recognised the fact that his own wife was missing, especially when you factor in just how unusual her replacement has been behaving and that both Joe and Wally noticed it before he did.

In spite of that - and the fact that Barry's head has understandably been on everything that happened during and after the Crisis - it's hard to deny that it's been dragging on a little too long.

With that in mind, 'Liberation's decision to just dive straight into the issue (by having Barry realise what was happening and accuse faux Iris of, well, fraud) was a refreshing change, because it finally allowed the pieces of the puzzle to start moving again.

As compelling as these past few episodes have been, it's important to keep things moving as the end of the season approaches, and Barry's realisation of the truth - and the subsequent confrontation that came from it - allowed that to happen. And the same goes for Iris' confrontation with Eva in the mirror dimension.
