The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Grodd Friended Me'
1. No Time For Fallout Either
While the whole episode did a solid job proving that Gorilla Grodd had changed, the payoff felt just that little bit rushed. After all, here we have this giant telepathic ape that had caused Team Flash an unbelievable amount of stress and concern over the past six years willing to admit to his guilt and wanting to set it right, and yet we never got the chance to see him actually put those thoughts and feelings into motion in the real world.
Sure, Grodd did step up to the plate and help his longtime nemesis defeat Solovar, but given how prominent his desire for peace was, it would have been nice to see him in Gorilla City along with the rest of his kind (and perhaps even the real Solovar).
If this is the last we've seen of Grodd, one final triumphant roar or even just a shot of him being happy would have sufficed. Unfortunately, we had to imagine it all instead.
Now, for the positives...
