The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Grodd Friended Me'
5. The New Team Flash Dynamic
The beginning of the episode introduced us to so many aspects of the new normal that the voices of Chester and Kamilla on comms was actually one of the more recognisable elements - even if it rarely happened. But for Barry, he wasn't fussed on all the differences, setting the stage for an episodic story in which that new team would ultimately have to prove themselves to the Scarlet Speedster.
While Kamilla turned out to be a great voice-of-reason (seriously the writers are acing it in terms of finding places for her to fit in this season), Chester slotted in nicely as something of an underdog who we could root for. Were there times the comedy shtick was overdone? Absolutely, but when they got it under control, he turned out to be the episode's most endearing character.
It's not something that this writer thought he'd be saying at the start of the episode, but the dynamic between Barry, Frost, Kamilla and Chester was an incredibly refreshing one, and one that many fans certainly wouldn't mind seeing again.
