The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Death Of The Speed Force'
1. Uncharted Territory
It's quite refreshing to see that Crisis On Infinite Earths is still having quite the effect on the Arrowverse almost two months later. While this writer certainly isn't one to wish complications on anyone (no matter how fictional they may be), the Arrowverse shows have a tendency of wrapping things up and moving on quickly, but that's clearly not the case here.
With the Speed Force gone and the Reverse-Flash's strange decision to use Nash's body, there are things going on that we're left craving answers to. And it isn't just a 'going through the motions' kind of mystery either. There's real suspense here - real stakes - because the rule book has been thrown out the window for the first time in a long time.
Speedsters without speed and a bloodthirsty archenemy who is more terrifying than ever with problems of his own, The Flash is moving into uncharted territory here, and the show's ability to juggle this mysterious turn of events with the season-centric Black Hole/Mirror Master story deserves a standing ovation.
This writer is definitely intrigued to see where it all goes next...
