The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Death Of The Speed Force'
2. The Performances
Man, sometimes The Flash just reminds you how great it is - and this episode was truly one of those times. Not only was the writing, storytelling and pacing at a season high, the cast absolutely knocked it out of the park - which is no easy feat considering they were given some pretty hefty material.
Lonsdale absolutely shined this week. In many ways, his character was the glue that held the episode together, but the young actor outdid himself here and may very well have delivered his best performance on the show thus far - and the scenes he shared with Grant Gustin and Jesse L. Martin were just so good.
He was matched, however, by the rest of the cast, as the episode's standout moment - a tearful farewell between Barry Allen and the Speed Force in the form of his mother Nora - really tugged on our heartstrings as Gustin and Michelle Harrison sought to make us weep like they did in the Season 1 finale.
Everything fell into place in this episode, and it provided some of the actors with their best performances yet - reminding us all that The Flash has one of the most talented casts in the business.
