The Flash Season 6 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Death Of The Speed Force'

7. Wally West's Return

Can we just start with how absolutely great it was to see Keiynan Lonsdale back home as Wally West?

The young speedster was a significant part of The Flash's second, third and fourth seasons and took part in some major storylines as he struggled to cope with his mother's illness and death and the realisation that he had a father and sister he'd never met. But he ultimately found his coping mechanism: Being a hero.

Though Wally's transition into Kid Flash was great to watch, the show didn't always do him - or Lonsdale - justice when it came to juicy material and, in a strange turn of events, he ended up having more to do as a hero on the third season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow than he ever did on The Flash.

And yet, here - with his new zen attitude and clued-in approach - he felt more important to The Flash than he ever had. Yes, as this was only a guest appearance, the writers solely placed the focus on him... and he shined.

Let's just hope that if Lonsdale decides to return to the Arrowverse full-time one day, the writers give him that kind of material from now on...
