Key to Superman and to Supergirl €“ hell, to most superheroes - has always been their willingness to do what€™s necessary for the greater good; to see the best in people, to act with an almost innocent sense of idealism, to be willing to put their life on the line for others. In Worlds Finest, we got to see Supergirl at her most sacrificial. With certain sections of National City still struggling to forgive the Girl of Steel for some of her earlier misdemeanours, the conclusion of Worlds Finest couldn€™t have come at a better time in terms of getting the public behind Kara once more. It was a truly awesome, inspiring moment to see the Maid of Might putting herself directly in the lines of Livewire€™s electrical charges as she sought to protect a helicopter that was circling above the fight scene. This fully pushed Supergirl into the limelight and again highlighted why she is such a heroic character when needed.
