The Handmaid's Tale Season 2: 5 Ups And 1 Down From 'Postpartum'

Downs...

1. The Resolution (Or Lack Of) For Nick's Ordeal

The Handmaid's Tale Offred Nick
Hulu

As I'm sure you remember, while June was visiting her daughter Hannah several episodes ago, Nick was abducted by a few guardians which left the handmaid all alone when she went into labour. His absence from last week's episode had us all panicking that something might've happened with the young driver, but Postpartum cleared all that up, proving to us that Nick is alive and well after all.

But, if we're being honest, the whole thing was a bit of a cop-out. We didn't get to see what happened. Moreover, the whole thing was cleared up with one line from Commander Waterford, who commented that there was a "misunderstanding with some overzealous guardians."

Considering how much time and effort we spent worrying about the character over these past few weeks, we were expecting a little more than what we got. The resolution proved to be a massive let down.
