Blessed be the fruit. The Handmaid's Tale continued to impress this week, producing one of its strongest ever episodes.

The batsh*t conclusion to last week's episode saw Ofglen blow up the new Red Center, so we presumed that there would be casualties. 26 Commanders and 31 handmaids — to be exact — perished in the blast.

After deals with the fallout of the attack and it's made clear that there will be consequences for all those involved. That is, if the powers that be are able to figure out just how the attack happened in the first place. There is chaos ravaging through Gilead, as Commander Cushing takes over from Commander Pryce. For the first time since we were introduced to this world, Gilead has become a war zone as the new security officer takes no prisoners and will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the attack.

Despite the chaos, the episode also gives us a little bit of June back, as the handmaid manages to reclaim yet another piece of her identity. Shockingly, it's with Serena's help.

It'll be tough to top the second season premiere, but After was without a doubt one of the most compelling episodes of The Handmaid's Tale thus far.
