The Big Bang Theory did what very few sitcoms ever manage to achieve and that’s run past ten seasons. Friends, Seinfeld, The Office and countless other defining sitcoms of their respective generations ran out of steam either before or just when they hit the double figures mark. None of those named above got that coveted 11th season but The Big Bang Theory managed a whopping 12 overall.
The sad fact is the show really could actually have gone on much longer had it not been for one of the actors deciding they were done with the routine of it and instead wanted to pursue a career in movies, much to the probable chagrin of their co-stars who had gotten very used to those BIG annual actor checks and future royalties revenues.
We won’t name that particular actor here as that would spoil one of the below questions.
