The Last Dance Review: 6 Ups & 1 Down

2. The Candid Interviews

As great as the 1990's footage was, these clips only told half the story. On their own they were brilliant, but paired with the sublime interviews in the present day, The Last Dance was able to produce something truly special.

Not only did we get to see Michael, Pippen, Rodman, and Phil Jackson speak about what was happening, we got little pieces of the overall story from so many different places. Family and friends of the players were able to speak to what they were going through at certain points. Players who played for and against the Bulls in the 90's, even Isiah Thomas who Michael Jordan still hates to this day, and the late Kobe Bryant, offered their thoughts on the team and the man himself.

Even former President of the United States, Barack Obama joined in the fun, telling of how Jordan inspired him, and giving his view on the political controversy that arose when Jordan refused to publicly support Senate candidate Harvey Gantt.

This series really spared no expense in getting the thoughts and feelings of some of the most important people in the story, and some of the biggest names inspired or affected by the team's run throughout the 90's.
