The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen TV Show: 5 Victorian Characters We Want To See

3. Raskolnikov (Crime and Punishment)

skol The League finds out that their landlady, Mrs. Hudson, has been targeted for assassination, and the killer under contract is the infamous Raskolnikov, the axe-wielding Russian who specializes in landlords, superintendents and realtors. This could be one of those divide and conquer episodes, where Hyde, Invisible Man and Nemo try to track down Raskolnikov while Mina and Quartermain try to figure out who called in the hit. In the climax, they€™re all holed up in Mrs. Hudson€™s flat to protect her. The lights go out. And then the flash of spinning axes! Axes everywhere! Raskolnikov is so swift. He€™s got the drop on pretty much all of them, even the Invisible Man, because he threw a bowl of Borscht on him. As Raskolnikov prepares to decapitate each of them, with an axe, Mina is like €œBut whodunnit?€ Mrs. Hudson steps forward. She was never the mark, they were. Because they were always late on their rent. But this just reminds Raskolnikov how much he hates landladies and chops off her head, with an axe. Then they all go eat Borscht together.
