The Mandalorian 2.4 Review - 5 Ups And 2 Downs From Chapter 12
4. Greef Karga Is Back!
Needless to say it was great to see the return of Greef Karga in this episode, especially after Cara Dune perished on her way back to her home planet off-screen between seasons.
Weathers brings a regal quality to the role and has ensured Karga will remain one of The Mandalorian's most memorable characters long after it finishes. Naturally with Weathers also in the director's chair for this episode he gives Karga plenty of moments to shine, including a particularly brilliant sequence involving a squadron of TIEs late on.
Karga himself has also developed a great deal since the last time we saw him. Instead of leading the Bounty Hunters' Guild he's acting as a sort of mayor/public official for Nevarro. The town itself is now bustling with markets and even has a school - a stark reversal from the desolate death-trap from Season 1.
All in all, it's just great to see Karga back. Star Wars is richer for having Carl Weathers in it, and I hope this isn't the last we see of him (or his magnificent outfits).
