The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Biggest Moments And Reveals In "The Heiress"
4. The Darksaber
Din Djarin and Koska Reeves struggle to stop the ship from crashing, but Bo-Katan Kryze is far more interested in speaking to that Imperial officer. She demands to know who has the Darksaber, and asks if it's in "his" possession (clearly meaning Moff Gideon).
The officer responds that if she knows enough to ask that, then the answer is obvious. Before she's able to question him further, though, he takes the Star Wars version of cyanide and takes his own life, just like his Moff commanded. Interestingly, Din doesn't appear to pay much attention to that talk of the Darksaber and likely never even heard that conversation due to being so busy piloting the ship.
Giancarlo Esposito has indicated that he'll finally get to wield the ancient weapon in The Mandalorian's second season, so it remains to be seen whether the bounty hunter is aware of its significance before that showdown takes place.
Regardless, Bo-Katan doesn't get the answers she wanted, but does manage to retrieve the ship and weapons on board. Now, it's time to return the favour.
