Reunited on Tatooine with mechanic Peli Motto, the episode makes it clear that Din Djarin has manages to get over his hatred of droids after IG-11's emotional sacrifice in the season one finale.
After a surprise cameo appearance from R5-D4 - the droid that Luke Skywalker and his uncle very nearly buy from the Jawas in A New Hope - Din questions Peli about the location of the Mandalorian he's learned is on Tatooine. It's news to her, but she points him in the direction of Mos Pelgo, a settlement where it's believed someone in amour like his resides.
Jon Favreau really leans into the show's Western sensibilities here, and it looks like a sci-fi version of the many towns you've seen in those movies. The bounty hunter walks straight through the desolate settlement as its frightened residents watch on, and in order to track down the Mandalorian he seeks, Din does exactly what you might expect.
He heads straight to the local cantina...
