The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Biggest Moments And Reveals In "The Passenger"

The Star Wars franchise has introduced a lot of spider-like creatures over the years, though The Mandalorian appears to have created a new race of them, and they're nothing short of terrifying. The Harch, Krykna, and Rakazzak beasts are all considered to be spider-like, though these monsters don't appear to be any of those (however, they most resemble the Krykna).

Regardless, they pursue the Mandalorian, The Child, and the passenger through the caverns in a sequence which has quite clearly been inspired by horror movies. That's something new for this Galaxy Far, Far Away, and arguably works better than anything else in the episode.

While Din is able to fend them off with his blaster, he quickly becomes overwhelmed and the trio are forced to take shelter in the cockpit after he roasts some of the horde with his flamethrower. While it appeared he was able to kill the biggest spider, that makes a surprise return and starts tearing the ship apart. It seems Mando's days are numbered!

Luckily, they're saved by some blaster fire; is it Ahsoka Tano? Boba Fett aboard Slave II? Not quite...
