While the lack of any new elements in the trailer hurts it in a visual department, as far as story is concerned, it was a stroke of genius.

Just like Season 1, it's for the best that we know as little about Season 2 as possible, even in the trailers. Sure one or two more visually striking elements sprinkled into the trailer would have made it a bit more memorable, but strategically, it's better to keep your cards as close to the chest as possible this time around.

We have no way of knowing what twists and turns this new season is going to take, or even if he's going to find the Jedi by the end of it. Evidence points to no - there's only one Jedi left in the galaxy at this point in the timeline, and if Mark Hamill was in this show, we would know by now - but every question this trailer makes us ask is a good one.
