The OA Season 2: 12 Huge Questions That Must Be Answered

9. How Exactly Do The Movements Work? And Did They Work At The End?

The movements are one of the weirdest parts of a very strange show, and indeed the hardest element to buy into. Alternate dimensions? Sure. Coming back from the dead? No problem. Interpretive dance holding the key to, among many other things, raising the dead, curing diseases, and stopping a shooter? Okay... wait, what? Hell no.

It's a combination of how they look and what they ultimately do that makes it so ridiculous, and will have many people checking out of the show, or at least thinking about it.

Still, there's a lot we don't really understand about them. Where do they really come from? How exactly do they work in terms of curing disease or bringing people back, if they do at all? When they stopped the shooter, was it the movements, or just the distraction? (I believe the latter, but maybe that last one isn't as important.)
