Jim Carrey briefly played the 'Finger Lakes Guy', an applicant for the regional manager position at the Scranton branch. Carrey has a decorated past of playing odd, comedic characters. Best known for his leading roles in classics such as The Grinch, Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty, Jim was a huge name to get onto the show. Arguably one of the most prolific comedy actors of his generation, The Office fans were shocked to see Carrey play a guest appearance in the season seven finale of the show.
