The Office: 10 Characters You Totally Forgot Existed
1. Katy
Remember when Amy Adams was in The Office? Probably not.
Her time in the show was yet another speedbump on the romance between Jim and Pam, which made her character entirely forgettable, despite the decorated performer they got to play her.
Katy first arrived in the episode "Hot Girl", in which she played the eponymous character, who gained the attention of the men of the office and eventually ended up catching a ride home with Jim. After this, the pair began dating, and the show revealed how ill-suited to each other they were.
In each of her episodes, she put something forward that proved she wasn't right for Jim. For example, she claimed that Legally Blonde was her favourite movie - something Jim made fun of Meredith for saying - and eventually highlighted that she used to be a cheerleader, which seemed to rub Jim the wrong way.
Like many of the other romantic angles in the Jim/Pam set-up, this poor character ended up feeling like a complete afterthought, as you didn't even think for a second that they'd officially end up together. Just like Karen, she got dumped and subsequently left the show for good.
