The Office: 10 Reasons It's The Funniest Show On TV

9. Ensemble Cast

TheOfficeS7-2 From day one The Office had an amazingly talented cast, though much of that cast played a supporting role. However over the past season that cast has really been giving a chance to shine. There have been quite a few additions to the Dunder Mifflin crew this last year, but thankfully none of these brilliant actors have to play second fiddle to anyone, anymore. In the early days of The Office much of the show revolved around the relationship between Jim and Pam, the rivalry between Jim and Dwight, and of course the antics of dimwitted boss Michael Scott. Though the dimwitted boss has changed these original three elements are still for the most part intact, only now the show has expanded its sights allowing the rest of the cast to step up and show off. Good thing too, it was virtually criminal to have so much raw comedic talent just wasting away in the background. Many shows in the history of television have utilized an ensemble cast, but never one quite like The Office. The Office€™s band of merry misfits is less like a cast of actors and more like a comedy buffet.
