The Office: 10 Weirdest Things Found In Dunder Mifflin

6. Dwight's Wigs

The Office Creed

"I have a wig for every single person in the office. You never know when you're going to need to bear a passing resemblance to somebody."

Is that really the case though, Dwight?

While the proprietor of Schrute Farms and (the) Assistant (to the) Regional Manager is shown to have some utterly wacky paraphernalia in various places around the Office over the course of nine seasons - with a Beaumont-Adams revolver in a holster and a replica of Uday Hussein's desk numbering amongst his more head-scratching implements - one of Dunder Mifflin's weirdest finds has to be Dwight's assortment of wigs.

Season 7's Classy Christmas reveals that the volunteer Sheriff's deputy has a wig to mimic the appearance of every single individual in the Office. Considering that it took them seven seasons to appear, one has to question the financial logic of purchasing, maintaining and storing more than ten convincing wigs, as well as the deep-rooted psychological issues one must possess to even envision doing so.

With that being said, Dwight's forward planning ultimately allows him the last laugh. The wigs prove to be an integral part of his campaign of psychological, snow-based terror against Jim, after the latter humiliates him with a snowball in front of the office.
