The Office: 12 Most Cringeworthy Scenes

5. Phyllis' Wedding

Many of the Dunder Mifflin family went through huge moments and milestones in their lives. There were more than a handful of engagements, wedding, and children. For each of these events, Michael Scott got completely carried away, but never did he interfere quite so much as with Phyllis' wedding.

She had only asked Michael to be involved so she could have extra time off for the honeymoon, but it went straight to his head. He claimed to have paid for her wedding since he paid her wages, and referred to himself as Employer of the Bride. He even said the day was bigger for him than for Phyllis.

There was so much behaviour from Michael to cringe at at Phyllis' wedding. He genuinely believed that his walking Phyllis' dad down the aisle was the highlight of the day, and when he plucked up the courage to make the journey himself, Michael made a scene by dragging his wheelchair in the loudest fashion possible.

He interrupted the vows in a race to introduce the married couple before they were even married, and was incredibly rude in the speech that no one asked for, that the groom had to cut short. He acted like a child, and almost ruined one of his oldest friend's big day in a bid to be the centre of attention himself.
