The Office: Every Christmas Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

'The Name Is Bond, Santa Bond..'

The US Office was responsible for perhaps one of the greatest transatlantic television adaptations in history. Now in 2020, the US Office is the most famous edition around the globe and has been syndicated via Netflix and Amazon so that you can enjoy it anywhere, anytime. Which is great because at this time of year whether you are on a beach in the Bahamas, or under 8ft of snow in Aspen, you can get right into the spirit of the season by just flicking on a major part of any beloved, long-running sitcom, the Christmas episodes.

Michael, Jim, Dwight and co were often at their best during the holidays and adding presents into that mix made for some of the funniest moments in the show's run.

From Benihana to Santa Bond, the US Office always managed to find a way to be funny without re-treading old ground and delivering a festive treat when the snow started falling.

So, we here have decided to rank the Christmas episodes worst to best. Enjoy.

7. Christmas Wishes

By the time The Office rolled around to season 8, it found itself with declining viewers due to the departure of Steve Carell's Michael Scott. Though the show boasted great actors in its ranks, such as Ed Helms and John Krasinski, Carell was the star and without him there was a noticeable shift in quality.

So, when it came to the Christmas edition of season 8, the loss was felt all the more by Scott's absence, as this was the first Christmas episode without him.

That isn't to say it doesn't have its upsides. Jim and Dwight's competition to prank themselves in order to get the other in trouble is amusing, as is Erin's ability to knock back drinks and hit on her ex - Andy Bernard.

Robert California's time in the show was an obvious highlight of the stricken series, and his personality is once again on offer here to help Erin with her jealousy.

All in all, Christmas Wishes was a bit all over the place and it felt like all the storylines of the episode were secondary. No one moment stands out as a real comedic or visceral imprint as the other episodes on this list have.
