The moment that the powerhouse was added to the cast of The Politician, American Horror Story fans undoubtedly jumped up and down with excitement at the mere thought of seeing one of those award-worthy performances that that show has been desperately missing in recent years. Never one to disappoint, that's exactly what the esteemed actress delivered in the Netflix series.

Portraying Dusty Jackson, Lange was the highly-strung and morally corrupt grandmother of Infinity who loved the attention that came with looking after a 'sick' teenager. The fact that it was more of a supporting role resulted in sporadic appearances, but the Oscar-winning actress wrung every last drop out of each scene she was in - stealing every single one of them in the process.

The sheer lunacy of the character gave her a lot to work with and, as a result, she turned in yet another show-stopping performance in a career that is already full of them.
