15. Lewis Beats Curtis With His Own False Leg (Episode 9, "Front Toward Enemy")

Though it might not have been one of the show's goriest moments, Lewis beating Curtis to a pulp with his own false leg sure was one of the series' most disturbing bursts of violence.

After Curtis heads to O'Connor's house to talk to Lewis, he finds Lewis making a bomb with O'Connor's corpse decomposing in the corner.

Curtis tries to reason with Lewis, but a fight ensues, which concludes with Curtis having his face repeatedly bashed in with his own appendage.

The sound editing combined with Daniel Webber's intense performance and the sheer unsettling optics behind beating a war vet up with his own false limb, makes this a very WTF moment indeed.
