From teachers and students at Springfield Elementary, patrons at Moe's Tavern and numerous residents roaming the streets of Springfield, the video gives the audience a look at all the different members of Springfield partaking in a music video which is well thought out and beautifully animated, with the intro creating a story based on the lyrics being sung.

The couch gag appropriately wraps with the Simpsons returning home and sitting on their couch surrounded by numerous members of the Springfield community as they all happily lip sync Ke$ha's smash hit while airlifting the family and the couch. This is truly an iconic couch gag, which did not make a lot of sense but still proved to be highly entertaining and brilliant.
