The Simpsons: 10 Best Treehouse Of Horror Episodes

10. Treehouse Of Horror VII

The Simpsons Bart And Hugo Starting off our countdown is the seventh special which first aired on October 27, 1996. Treehouse of Horror VII isn't close to being the strongest of the Halloween specials but contains one of the best segments the series has to offer. The highlight of the episode is "The Thing and I" - a creepy tale of a monster in the attic. Bart and Lisa become suspicious when they begin to hear gruesome noises coming from the ventilation. Taking it upon themselves to investigate they find that something has indeed been living in the attic and has managed to escape! It turns out that the monster is actually Bart's twin, Hugo, and the two were born conjoined. "The Genesis Tub" and "Citizen Kang" are decent follow-ups but "The Thing and I" is the sole reason ToH VII manages to make the top ten being strong enough to hold the entire episode on its hunchbacked shoulders. However, "Citizen Kang" shouldn't be ignored as it plays up the political laughs as only the Simpsons can do. As a whole, the episode flows well together and is a great choice to top off our list.
