The Simpsons: 10 Giant Plot-Holes You Probably Missed

8. The Simpsons' Computer

Simpsons Computer In the Season 12 episode "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes" Homer decides that it is time for him to buy a computer after he misses a work e-mail informing him the power plant is closed for maintenance, which causes him to miss a potential day off work, all because he has no idea what an e-mail is. But the Simpson family have already been shown to own a computer in the earlier episode "Das Bus", in which Homer declared himself the "King of the Internet" and founded his own start up Internet company, Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net. True, Bill Gates then quickly swooped in and bought out his empire, but it seems a bit off that the self-declared King of The Internet would never have heard of something as basic as e-mail.

Hi there, What Culture-ers! I'm William Graff, a 40-year old freelance writer from the wilds of Capitol Hill in beautiful Denver, Colorado. I enjoy many things such as beer, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, record collecting, stand-up comedy, long aimless walks, and of course the Broncos, which is required by law if you live here. I appreciate all feedback for my writing, but I prefer cash and/or deleted Smiths singles in lieu of praise. Rock on!
