The Simpsons: 10 Most Controversial Moments Ever

5. Stewie's Rape Prank

The Simpsons have done the odd crossover here and there with other shows. While a lot of them weren’t well received, they were generally deemed to be controversy-free. That was not the case for their crossover episode with the Family Guy.

There was always the potential for this to get problematic, owing to Family Guy’s more adult oriented content. That potential was fully realized during the scene where Bart and Stewie get together to have some fun at the expense of others.

It starts off as a run-of-the-mill prank calling segment where Bart is ringing up Moe's Tavern and talking nonsense. He then passes the phone to Stewie. In typical Family Guy fashion, it descends into to controversial territory in absolutely no time. Stewie’s idea of a prank call…was to tell Moe his sister is being raped. Yikes.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
