6. And Maggie Makes Three – Season 6, Episode 13
Homer recounts the story of Maggie’s birth when the kids ask
why there are no photos of her in the family album.
In this heart-warming story, Homer has to give up his dream job working at a bowling alley to return to the Nuclear Power Plant to be able to provide for another child. It is ironic to see past Homer complain about having another mouth to feed, only to be instantly smitten with his baby daughter when Maggie is born.
Mr. Burns manages to rub salt in the wounds, however, when he crudely leaves a plaque on Homer’s desk reading: “Don’t forget: you’re here forever”.
Then, we finally find out where Maggie’s baby pictures are in
one of the most touching scenes in the show’s history. Homer says the photos
are where he needs them most – on the plaque, which he has altered to read: “Do
it for her”. Cue hundreds of melting hearts!
