The Simpsons: 10 One-Off Characters Voiced By Hank Azaria
6. Funzo
Appearance: "Grift of the Magi," Season 11. When Springfield Elementary went bankrupt, the Kids First Industries stepped in to buy the school with an ulterior motive: to design the hit new toy for the Christmas season. Named by Ralph Wiggum and featuring "lots of fire power" while still being "soft and cuddly," Funzo inspires a riot at the Try 'n' Save its first day available. Sadly, Funzo is also programmed to destroy its competition (ie. other toys like Malibu Stacy and Talking Krusty) and eventually- to save Christmas- Homer had to steal and destroy every Funzo in town. Funniest Moment: After throwing all of the Funzos into the Springfield Tire Fire, Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Gary Coleman have a long discussion about commercialism and the Christmas season. As they agree on a compromise, a Funzo- burned down to its robot exoskeleton- attacks them from the fire. Gary Coleman: "Hiiiii-yah! Huu-wah! Ugh! Huh!" Bart: "Well there's something you don't see every Christmas."
