The Simpsons: 10 Potential Ways It Could End

1. The Last Episode Loops Back To The First

The Ending:

Simpsons show-runner Al Jean came up with his own ending for the show, saying, €œI thought it would be cool if in the last episode they're getting ready to go to a Christmas pageant, and they go to the Christmas pageant that opens up the first episode, 'Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire', so the entire series is a loop with no end. That would be my way of concluding the run, but nobody has asked me for it yet."

Why They Could Use It:

Because it's be a great way to in essence keep The Simpsons alive forever, a never-ending loop in which they will always be in demand.

Why They Might Not:

For starters, there are tons of logical issues: what about characters who have died? It doesn't seem to make much sense. Then there's the fact that Jean has already let the cat out of the bag, which wasn't a terribly smart move if he seriously wanted to use this ending. Also, Futurama already pretty much did this ending, so it might feel like Matt Groening and Disney repeating themselves too much.
